Jazz Ensembles

The Kettering Jazz Program consists of jazz ensembles at both the middle and high school levels.

The middle school jazz ensemble meets beginning in the late fall and combines students from Van Buren and Kettering Middle Schools. Fairmont High School offers two full jazz ensembles and a jazz combo.  Fairmont’s Jazz Ensemble I has performed most recently at the Essentially Ellington Jazz Festival in Cincinnati, Ohio, as well as throughout the Dayton community at local events and venues such as Carillon Park, local retirement communities, and the annual Kettering “Community Holiday Concert” in Trent Arena each December.

The jazz ensemble program is under the direction of Bryce Newton with assistance from Brandon Schick, Kaitie Welch, and Sydney Hanlon.
