Bryce Newton
Bryce Newton is the District Music Coordinator for the Kettering City Schools, where he oversees the K–12 music program and conducts the Fairmont High School Wind Symphony and Jazz Ensemble I. Bryce taught previously for 18 years as a middle and high school band director, leading concert, jazz, and marching bands.
As a composer, Bryce’s works have been performed across the globe, including multiple performances at the Midwest International Band & Orchestra Clinic in Chicago, the Thailand International Band & Orchestra Festival, and state conventions and festivals. His music was named a “Top 100” new work for wind band in 2020 by Bandworld Magazine. In 2023, two of his works for band and orchestra were recognized as “Top Music Education Products” by School Band & Orchestra Magazine. His compositions are included on state festival lists in Texas, Indiana, and his home state of Ohio. His music for concert and jazz ensembles is published by RWS Music Company and C.L. Barnhouse Company.
Bryce is a graduate of Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, where he studied conducting with Gary Speck and composition/arranging with David Shaffer. Also a graduate of the Kettering City Schools, he is proud to serve the community where he was raised.
