Brandon Schick
Mr. Brandon Schick is proud to serve as the Director of Concert Bands at Fairmont High School. In addition to his responsibilities at FHS, Mr. Schick also teaches 6th grade band at Van Buren Middle School and directs Jazz Ensemble II, one of two jazz ensembles at Fairmont. Originally from Cincinnati, he holds both a Bachelor of Music and a Master of Education from Miami University, located in Oxford, OH. Mr. Schick was involved in a number of ensembles while at Miami and spent two summers performing with the Bluecoats Drum and Bugle Corps. Prior to becoming employed in Kettering, his teaching experience included two years for the Huber Heights City Schools and four years with the West Carrollton City Schools. Outside of the classroom, Mr. Schick actively performs as a horn player with the Cincinnati Wind Band and during the summer months, he serves as an Assistant Director of the Carillon Park Concert Band, an ensemble consisting of Dayton-area high school students. Mr. Schick is committed to helping students grow as musicians and individuals through meaningful and challenging musical experiences. He lives in Centerville with his wife and two sons and is proud to be part of a KCS community that values music and the arts in education.
