Mrs. Berning has been teaching in the Kettering schools for 30 years, teaching elementary music, middle and high school band. She has degrees in oboe performance from Miami University and Yale University and Music education degree from University of Dayton. Originally from Pittsburgh, PA, she relocated to this area to join the Air Force Band of Flight. She has been the adjunct oboe professor at Wright State University and Wittenberg University. In addition to working in Kettering schools, she has a large private studio and performs with the Springboro and Sinclair Wind Symphonies.
